If diamonds are a girl’s best friend then color gemstones are a favorite aunt. Their many different hues provide a wide selection to suit almost every ones favored color. In addition colored gems are a perfect addition to any outfit as they can accent or compliment a piece of clothing. Color gemstones come in both precious and semi-precious varieties.
Precious Gemstones
The favorite precious color gemstones are emerald, ruby, and sapphire. All come in deep bold tones. The green emerald is as green as the rolling hills of grass in Ireland. The sapphires remind one of the Mediterranean Sea on a bright sunny day. Red rubies resemble the juiciest and sweetest of strawberries. All these gems are glorious as a ring, necklace, bracelet or earrings. And they are usually a bit cheaper than diamonds so you money will go further.
Semi Precious Gemstones
The semi precious color gemstones have a wide range of hues from the almost white of the Moonstone to the blood red of the Spinel. In addition some gemstones come in a variety of colors. For example, the Tourmaline comes in red, blue, pink, green, or peach as well as varying shades of each of these colors. These color gemstones are meant to be mixed and matched creating rainbow effect either in one piece of jewelry or by combining multiple pieces all of different colors.
Another advantage of the semi-precious gemstone is not only their color variety but their price. Many of these gems are cheaper than the precious gemstones and diamonds. Therefore a budget will go further focusing on the semi precious gems.
When it comes to color gemstones there are a rainbow of choices. While all the colors are spectacular some of these stones can be a bit less expensive than others. However, a lower price tag does not detract from a stone color or brilliance.
